(The Washington Post) Plant biologist turns to TikTok to show kids science in action

Katie Murphy, PhD, postdoctoral associate in Dr. Malia Gehan's lab and Dr. Doug Allen's lab, was featured in The Washington Post for her "Real Time Science" accounts on TikTok and Instagram.

Through @Real_Time_Science, Katie is documenting the progression of her research over the course of a year. She creates short videos with the goal of making scientific careers and the scientific process feel more accessible to younger generations.
